About Smartlinks

Smartlinks are intelligent tracking links powered by a machine learning algorithm that automatically routes traffic to the best-performing offers within the same category. Instead of manually assigning traffic to specific offers, the system dynamically selects the optimal offer based on conversion metrics, targeting parameters, daily caps, and publisher reputation.

How Smartlinks Work

When a visitor clicks a smartlink URL, the Traffic Delivery System (TDS) processes the request and routes them to a specific offer. The ML-based routing algorithm evaluates the following factors to maximize ROI:

  • Traffic type & Geo-location: Ensures traffic matches offer restrictions and target regions.

  • Publisher reputation: Some offers are only accessible to high-reputation publishers.

  • Daily caps: Prevents sending traffic to offers that have already reached their 24-hour rolling window limit.

  • Constant optimization: The AI continuously learns how to efficiently monetize all types of traffic, requiring only ~100 clicks to explore and optimize an offer's EPC.

Key Properties & Configuration

Smartlinks can be configured through the Admin/Manager portal with the following settings:

  • Redirect type: Default, HTTP (for media buying platforms), or JavaScript (blocks bots).

  • Suppress conversions: Filter out postbacks below a minimum amount threshold.

  • Custom traffic rules: Direct traffic to specific offers by publisher, Geo, device, or tag.

  • Custom payout rules: Set individual fixed payments in cumulative mode.

  • Statuses: Smartlinks can be Active, Suspended, Archived, or Deleted.

Manual Smartlinks (Funnels)

In addition to fully automatic AI-driven smartlinks, UCLIQ offers manual smartlinks that allow managers to create custom funnels manually, specifying different rules with different targeting settings and offer sets. Traffic distribution among manual smartlinks is randomized based on assigned weights and daily limits.
