Subsidy limit defines the maximum amount of subsidy that an offer or a smartlink can use to generate payouts to publishers. This limit only affects the payouts and has no impact on the amount of traffic publishers can send or how much advertisers spend to acquire that traffic.
When a publisher sends traffic and it converts, UCLIQ receives a postback from the advertiser. Depending on the offer’s goal configuration and payout type, a payout to the publisher may or may not be generated.
Goals and Payout Types
An offer can have one or more Goals, with one always designated as Main.
-
If the postback does not specify a goal parameter, the conversion is assigned to the Main goal, and the payout type defined in that goal is used.
-
If the postback includes a valid goal, the specific goal’s payout mode is applied.
When Subsidy Is Not Applied
Subsidy is never applied to the Ratio payout type. In this mode, the publisher receives a fixed percentage of the amount specified in the advertiser’s postback.
Fixed Mode Payouts
Fixed payouts are only available if subsidy is allowed. In this mode, the amount specified in the advertiser’s postback is ignored, and the publisher receives the fixed payout amount set in the offer—provided the subsidy limit and the publisher’s limit are not exceeded.
Cumulative Payment Mode
Cumulative payout mode can operate with or without subsidy:
-
Without subsidy:
To generate the specified payout, the publisher must accumulate enough balance for this offer (or smartlink) and GEO. This can take one or multiple conversions before the payout threshold is met. -
With subsidy:
If a subsidy budget is available and the publisher’s limit is not exhausted, a payout will be made even if the accumulated balance is below the payout amount.-
The missing portion of the payout is taken from the subsidy budget and counted against the publisher’s limit.
-
Publishers can continue to receive payouts as long as both the subsidy limit and publisher limit are not exhausted.
-
Once either is reached, the offer or smartlink behaves as if there is no subsidy, requiring the publisher to accumulate the full payout amount from conversions.
-
There is no requirement for a publisher to “pay back” subsidy before receiving new payouts.
