About Funnels
Funnels are manual or managed tracking links that allow managers to create custom traffic routing rules. Unlike fully automatic AI-driven smartlinks, funnels give you full control over how traffic is distributed among a specific set of offers based on your own targeting parameters and selection logic.
Main Principles
-
Rule-Based Selection: You define one or more rules for selecting offers, each with its own set of targeting parameters (countries, devices, traffic types, etc.).
-
Weighted Distribution: Offers within each rule can be assigned specific weights for probabilistic selection, or you can use a sequential selection list.
-
Manual Control: Unlike automatic smartlinks, funnels ignore the default targeting, category, and optimization settings of the offers, allowing for highly customized traffic routing.
Types of Funnels
-
Weighted Funnels: Traffic is distributed among offers based on assigned weights and daily limits.
-
Prioritized Funnels: Traffic is routed according to a strict priority order, ensuring specific offers receive traffic before others.
Note: In the UCLIQ interface, weighted and priority smartlinks are now referred to as Funnels.
